Plastic Shed Base: To Suit Shed Size 14ftx 8ft: Creates surface area of approximately 4.62m...View this product
Traditional methods for creating a shed base have been from wet poured concrete. Compared to our strong, eco-friendly plastic base, the traditionally wet poured concrete base is labour intensive, requires an investment of both time and money and demands skill and great care to ensure a stable, & flat surface. Other methods for creating a shed base are patio slabs, initially a good surface can be created, but slabs can crack and decay over a short time usually caused by cold weather and frost erosion. You could also use steel and wood for your shed bases, but overtime they too succumb to the elements and degrade leaving your shed uneven and falling down.
Our interlocking Plastic Shed Base has been specifically developed to create a long lasting, durable surface which is quick and easy to install. Made from 100% recycled Plastic, the plastic panels (or grid) fits and locks together to form the base. They last 25 years and supports up weights of up to 320 tonnes per square meter. A Plastic Shed Base can be laid to the same footprint as your shed or larger if you wish to create a French drain effect. Made from non-degrading material, it forms a strong, open structure plastic grid which creates a base that is weather resistant and helps to preserve your shed with a constant airflow around the base, thus increasing the life of your shed.
