Well, you don’t have to.  Wooden shed bases will decompose and break down over time. There is a better solution out there to the wood shed base…. Plastic shed bases.

Plastic shed bases, unlike their wood shed base counterparts, won’t decompose or break down over time. Unlike other bases, our shed bases won’t rust or break down in the elements. The metal and wood shed bases will fall apart, rust and decay in the weather. Our plastic shed bases will stand the test of time. Our shed bases are also lightweight and moveable whereas the wood shed bases are heavy and difficult to move around.

Wooden shed bases are becoming a thing of the past with the advent of plastic shed bases. When you build your shed using a woodshed base you are killing trees and hurting Mother Nature. When you use the plastic shed bases you are helping to save the environment. Wooden shed bases contribute to the deforestation in the world where the plastic shed bases use 100% recycled plastic. Using recycled plastic waste materials will keep the trash from being tossed into the already overflowing landfills. So by choosing the plastic shed bases over wooden shed bases you are helping to save the planet.

Wood Shed Base Alternative

Another great thing about using the plastic shed bases is they won’t decompose or become bug infested like the wooden bases which will decompose over time or could get eaten by bugs. Wooden shed bases will cost a lot of money in maintenance if you have to replace the degraded or bug-infested wood. That is something you don’t have to worry about with the plastic shed bases.

Here is a list of terrific reminders of all the great reasons why you should choose the plastic shed bases rather than the wooden shed bases. Plastic shed bases offer panels that are made from 100% recycled plastic which is great for the environment unlike the wood shed bases which use trees. The panels in the shed bases are strong, UV and weather resilient, lightweight and easy to install where the woodshed bases are not as good for the long term.

Wood shed bases have a place in time but now we are moving forward into a new age where plastic shed bases are the way to go. Concrete, metal and wood shed bases have always been the staple starts for sheds but with the dawn of the Green movement people are using the concrete, metal and woodshed bases less. The plastic shed bases are cheaper due to the low maintenance costs and are easier to install.

When you are starting your shed base project take a look at some of the wood shed bases from years ago and compare them to the plastic shed bases. You will notice that the woodshed bases are in need of repair where the plastic shed bases are not. Wood shed bases will take longer to install than plastic shed bases.

Woodshed bases were a great start to building the perfect shed but there is a better option out there now. The plastic shed bases are a better fit for a better build.
